Bruins Championship Parade this Saturday

16 Jun

Can you believe the Bruins won the Stanley Cup? Rather, can you believe the Bruins won the Stanley Cup in Vancouver? Me either.

The city of Boston has something to celebrate once again, and for the first time in 39 years it is for a hockey championship, not one of the other three sports that rule the city.

And celebrate they will. There will be a parade to honor the Boston Bruins and their championship this Saturday, June 18, 2011 starting at 11 a.m. The parade will go from TD Garden to Copley Square. The exact route is unknown right now, but the Bruins website and Boston.com are bound to post every detail of this parade.

I have said again and again that I did not realize how big of a hockey town Boston was until I went to school at BU (a hockey school). But Boston is a hockey town and I can promise that the celebration is going to be amazing, and probably a little crazy. So enjoy your time in the spotlight, Bruins fans, enjoy.
